On Monday, November 27, we held the High Level Summit in Copenhagen in cooperation with Danish Industry and Green Power Denmark. Here we discussed the development of a green hydrogen market and infrastructure between Germany and Denmark

The European focus on green hydrogen is an important energy carrier in the energy transition and the basis for increased cooperation between Germany and Denmark. In March 2023, the two countries signed an agreement to support the development and implementation of hydrogen infrastructure projects and proposed a plan to establish a land-based hydrogen pipeline by 2028. To achieve and implement this ambition, strong political and industrial leadership is needed now to create the necessary supply and demand and to scale up technologies for hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives.

At the event, the German-Danish Green Hydrogen Offtake Declaration was presented and signed by key industry stakeholders such as BASF, German-Danish Chamber of Commerce, Danish Industry, Green Power Denmark, STRING Megaregion, Siemens Energy, ThyssenKrupp, RWE, MAN Energy Solutions, Ørsted, H2 Energy, Trafigura, Topsoe, Everfuel, European Energy, Green Hydrogen Systems, CIP, COWI, Danfoss.
