Sustainable City Development

Germany and Denmark are both frontrunners when it comes to urban sustainability. Northern Europe is one of the most sustainable regions in the world due to a high focus on energy efficient urban planning and investments in sustainable projects and a long tradition of focusing on inclusiveness, sustainability, and aesthetics.

How should urban planning react so that cities can remain both productive, more energy efficient and livable spaces even under the conditions of the climate crisis. The possibilities of adaptation are reaching limits, mitigation is gaining urgency.
