On 12 March, the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce and the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) hosted an Energy Dialogue on Biogas Potentials.
Biogas holds significant potential in the transition to a greener and more independent energy system. By leveraging cross-border collaboration, Denmark and Germany can play a crucial role in scaling biogas production, integrating it into the European energy infrastructure, and ensuring a resilient and sustainable energy supply.
Christian Dahl Winther from EIFO provided insights into Europe’s hydrogen infrastructure and biogas as a bridge to energy independence.
This was followed by an panel discussion, where Line Lundbye from EIFO, Stine Birk from Sustainable Bio Solutions Aabenraa K/S, Thees Martens from Kanadevia Inova BioMethan GmbH and Niels Træholt Franck from Energinet shared their perspectives on market expansion, financing trends, key challenges, and future opportunities for cross-border cooperation. The discussion was moderated by Andreas Wenzel, CEO of the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce.
A warm thank you to EIFO for hosting the event and the collaboration and to all speakers and participants for their contributions.
