Workshop: Building the future of construction - together

On 25 February 2025 the workshop Building the future of construction – together took place in Maribo, Denmark, in collaboration with Business Lolland-Falster, Fehmarn Belt Innovation, Femern Belt Development and FB Suppliers.

The Fehmarn Region is undergoing rapid transformation driven by major infrastructure projects, new urban developments and increasing cross-border activity. This development creates significant opportunities for the construction sector, public authorities and knowledge institutions to work together on shared innovation priorities.

The workshop brought together decision-makers and subject-matter experts from Denmark and Germany. Their practical experience and technical insight played a key role in ensuring that the roadmap process reflects the real needs and opportunities in the region.

The purpose of the workshop was to co-create the foundation for the Fehmarn Belt Innovation Roadmap — a shared framework for collaboration, lighthouse projects, capability development and future joint initiatives across borders.
