German-Danish Defence Network Forum

Join the German-Danish Defence Network Forum at Midtjylland Karup Airport on 17 August 2026 in collaboration with the German Embassy in Copenhagen, the Trade Council of the Danish Embassy in Berlin, DI Danish Defence and Security Industries Association and BDSV.
 

At our last forum on 4 February, we highlighted the importance of the German-Danish security partnership. Building on this foundation, the upcoming forum will focus on concretizing and operationalizing cooperation within the defence industry between Germany and Denmark.

The programme will centre on structured networking and matchmaking formats designed to bring together companies from both countries across the defence industry value chain. Current German defence projects in Denmark present substantial and diverse opportunities for market entry and growth, and the forum aims to leverage this momentum to foster scalable business models and long-term value creation.

A key element of the programme will be a panel discussion on “Layered Air Defence” in the context of the European Sky Shield Initiative, with a focus on feasible industrial approaches, complementary capabilities and concrete cooperation models.

To support effective matchmaking, we ask participating companies to reflect on their needs and offerings in advance. This will enable us to prepare targeted meetings and cluster companies accordingly.

The forum will take place at Midtjylland Airport in Karup, providing an industry-oriented setting designed to facilitate exchange between companies, end-users and other relevant stakeholders. In addition, the German Air Force will be present on site with an A400M aircraft and an accompanying exhibition as part of its 70th anniversary.

We encourage you to actively participate in the matchmaking sessions and to outline your cooperation interests during the registration process. If you are interested in targeted B2B discussions or would like to present specific project ideas, please feel free to contact us in advance.

Finally, if you are interested in travelling directly from Copenhagen to Karup, please provide us with a binding confirmation by 18 May 2026. In case of sufficient demand, we will explore the possibility of organising a charter flight through an external provider.
