Connecting Tomorrow: German-Danish Dialogue on Sustainable Logistics

The German-Danish Dialogue on Sustainable Logistics took place on 1 June 2026 at Danish Industry in Copenhagen. Organised in collaboration with Danish Shipbrokers & Port Operators and DI Transport, the event brought together leading companies from Denmark and Germany to discuss how supply chains and transport systems can become more resilient, efficient and climate-neutral.

Logistics plays a decisive role in Europe’s green transition – from long-haul freight and port operations to warehousing and lastmile distribution. Rising regulatory demands and the rapid development of new technologies challenge companies to rethink established processes. Alternative fuels, digital optimisation tools and multimodal transport solutions open new opportunities for innovation and competitiveness. At the same time, an increasingly uncertain global political landscape requires more resilient and independent supply chains.

A key theme of the dialogue was how businesses can strengthen supply chain resilience in an increasingly uncertain global environment. Participants also shared best-practice examples of cross-border intermodality from both markets and discussed how German-Danish cooperation can help accelerate the transition towards low-carbon logistics.
