Reaching offshore wind capacities of 30 GW in German and potentially more than 16 GW in Danish waters by 2030 is an immense challenge for all stakeholders involved. Many decisions have been made by both governments since the war in Ukraine began, but the offshore wind supply chain is under significant economic pressure. At the same time, its manufacturing and servicing capacities must multiply rapidly in this decade to be able to meet the goals set out.
The 5 October German-Danish Chamber of Commerce organized our first German-Danisch dialogue on energy transition. The afternoon was facilitated by our Premium Partner Copenhagen Infrastrutur Partners.
A panel, consisting of industry experts from WAB e.V., RWE Denmark, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, and Vestas, highlighted the challenges and opportunities within the current European offshore wind market and had constructive discussions with the attendees.
Thank you to everyone for participating.
