German-Danish Defence Network Forum

The German-Danish Defence Network Forum took place on 17 August 2026 at Midtjylland Karup Airport in collaboration with the German Embassy in Copenhagen, the Trade Council of the Danish Embassy in Berlin, DI Danish Defence and Security Industries Association and BDSV. The forum brought together representatives from the German and Danish defence industries, public authorities and other key stakeholders to strengthen cross-border cooperation and explore concrete business opportunities.

Building on the previous forum in February, the event focused on further concretising and operationalising cooperation between the German and Danish defence industries. Structured networking and matchmaking provided companies from both countries with opportunities to exchange perspectives, identify complementary capabilities and explore potential partnerships across the defence industry value chain.

A key part of the programme was a panel discussion on German-Danish industrial contributions to layered air defence in the context of the European Sky Shield Initiative. Representatives from the German Air and Space Force, Diehl Defence, Multicut and Terma discussed industrial approaches, complementary capabilities and opportunities for closer German-Danish cooperation.

The programme also included company pitches, networking and static and dynamic displays. A Memorandum of Understanding between SIMA Innovation and Flensburg Technology Systems GmbH was signed during the forum. The German Air Force was also present with an A400M aircraft and an exhibition marking its 70th anniversary.
