Our German-Danish Defence Network Forum in Copenhagen took place on 4 February 2025 in collaboration with the German Embassy in Copenhagen, the Trade Council of the Danish Embassy in Berlin, DI Danish Defence and Security Industries Association and BDSV.
In previous editions of this forum, we have addressed topics such as offsets, defence-related research and capabilities in relation to security challenges in the High North and the Arctic. The forum has also served as an important networking platform for German and Danish companies.
In this edition was the focus on strategic German-Danish security cooperation and on how we can strengthen our industrial bases — particularly in the cross-border region — to enhance resilience, protect supply chains and support production capacity.
A highlight of the programme was the keynote by Claus Ruhe Madsen, Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Labour, Technology and Tourism in Schleswig-Holstein, who spoke about “German Industry Outlook: The Shifting Economy and How Denmark and Germany Can Strengthen Each Other’s Supply Chains – Concrete Examples from Schleswig-Holstein.”
Thank you to all participants for their interest and to the German Embassy in Copenhagen, the Trade Council of the Danish Embassy in Berlin, DI Danish Defence and Security Industries Association and BDSV for their cooperation.
