Strengthening Energy Partnerships: Building a Hydrogen Ecosystem

The German-Danish Dialogue on Energy Transition took place at HUSUM WIND 2025, where we discussed the path forward to build a resilient and competitive hydrogen ecosystem in Germany and Denmark.

As Europe accelerates its green transition, hydrogen is emerging as a key enabler of a sustainable energy system. Offshore wind plays a crucial role in this development, providing the renewable power needed to scale up green hydrogen production. The dialogue focused on the key steps to turning this potential into reality and explored how Denmark and Germany, with their strong wind resources and technological expertise, can work together to lead the way in the hydrogen market.

At the Energy Dialogue, key industry players, policymakers, and experts from both countries shared their perspectives on the regulatory, technical, and market conditions needed to scale green hydrogen production and use. The discussions highlighted infrastructure needs, cross-border collaboration, and the integration of hydrogen into the wider energy system.
